Um das gesellschaftliche Miteinander zu fördern, müssen Barrieren überwunden, Vorurteile abgebaut und Begegnungen geschaffen werden. Aus dieser Weisheit ist die Idee zur Vereinsgründung Sophia e.V. seitens Akademikerinnen und Studentinnen aus Dortmund und Umgebung entstanden.
Sophia e.V. ist eine inter- und transkulturelle Plattform, die sich seit ihrer Gründung im November 2012 für Integration, Vielfalt und Toleranz einsetzt und als anerkannter gemeinnütziger Verein im Vereinsregister des Amtsgerichts Dortmund eingetragen ist.
